[:ja]ルカ・パルミタノ宇宙飛行士がISSから撮影したオーストラリアのダンピア半島です。

ダンピア半島は西オーストラリア北部に位置し、インド洋と接しています。人口密度は低く、バルディやニュルニュルといったアボリジニーの人々が何千年も住んできました。手つかずの白い砂、青緑色の海に加えて、特徴的なアボリジニー文化が残っています。フィッシング (fishing)、ノコギリガザミ採り、カヤック、シュノーケリングツアーなどを目的に、毎年多くの観光客がダンピア半島を訪れます。

[Earthview Wonders] No.1129: Dampier Peninsula, Australia🇦🇺

Astronaut Luca Parmitano captured from ISS Dampier Peninsula, Australia.

The Dampier Peninsula is located north of Broome in Western Australia and is surrounded by the Indian Ocean. It is sparsely inhabited, mostly by Indigenous Australian peoples, some of whom have been granted native title rights to some of their traditional lands. There are many coastal inlets, bays and other features, including Beagle Bay on its western side. The peninsula is home to a rich heritage of Aboriginal culture, with the communities of Beagle Bay, Bobieding, Djarindjin, Ardyaloon (One Arm Point) and Ngardalargin, along with numerous other smaller communities, pearling camps, tourist resorts and Aboriginal outstations.
