[:ja]NASAの地球観測衛星Terraが捉えたロシア・シベリアの山火事です。写真上方の橙色は紅葉で、シベリアでは夜の気温が1.6度まで下がり秋を迎えています。今回の火事は、今シーズン最後の火事のようです。
写真の下方にイルクーツク州ブラーツク市がありますが、これは世界で最も深いバイカル湖の北西約500kmにあり、1月の気温は-50度にも下がる極寒の地域です。

[Earthview Wonders] No.78: Wildfire in Siberia
NASA’s Terra satellite captured wildfire in Siberia. As can be seen from the reddening of trees, the fall season has come to the region with nighttime temperatures dropping to 1.6C, and this wildfire is considered the latest in an active fire season.
At the lower end of the photo is Bratsk which is 500km north west of the Lake Baikal, the deepest lake in the world. This is the region of frigid winter with the lowest temperature in January hits -50C.
