[Earthview Wonders] No.1707: Earth from Orion
NASA’s Orion spacecraft captured beautiful Earth from 16,000km away. Orion was flying at 21,000km/h and was accelerating then. Earthview looks different from those captured from the Earth orbit. The image seems to emphasize the lonely existence of this planet in the jet-black space. Orion is part of the NASA’s Artemis I Mission, which involves the first integrated flight test of NASA’s Deep Space Exploration Systems: the Orion spacecraft, Space Launch System (SLS) rocket, with the newly upgraded Exploration Ground Systems at Kennedy Space Center.
