2023年2月6日未明、トルコ南東部のシリア国境に近いガジアンテプ市付近で6日未明、マグニチュード7.8の大きな地震がありました。また、同日午後にも、近くでM7.5の揺れが起き、余震と見られています。トルコやシリアの当局によると、2月8日時点で、両国で確認された死者は8日までに計7800人を超えており、さらに増える見通しです。亡くなられた方々にご冥福をお祈りします。

In the earlly hours of Feb. 6, 2023, 7.8 magnitude quake struck near Gaziantep, followed by a 7.5 magnitude tremor hours later. As of Feb. 8, more than 7,800 people have been killed, but there are warnings the death toll could continue to surge. Our hearts are with those lost in the quake and their families.
