[:ja]NASAの地球観測衛星Landsat 8が撮影した、スウェーデン北部ラップランドの紅葉です。10月に数週間、黄色やオレンジに色付きます。
スカンジナビア半島では、その植生から紅葉は殆どが黄色かオレンジです。赤くなる樹木は4種類しか確認されておらず、北米の89種とは雲泥の差です。
ラップランドの地上から見るとこのような美しい景色が広がっています。
ちなみに、斜め右上から見えている白い直線は飛行機雲です。

NASA’s Landsat 8 satellite captured the forest reddening of Swedish Lapland. Alpine forests turn blazing shades of yellow and orange for a few weeks in October, in the midst of autumn in the region.
Yellow and orange dominate Scandinavian fall display color due to its vegetation. The lapland has only 4 tree species that turn red, compared with 89 in North America.
On the ground, beautiful yellow forests look like this.
Just to note, white line from the top right is the airplane contrail.
