Astronaut aboard ISS captured Khar Lake (Ulaagchin Khar Lake), Mongolia.
Khar Lake is a freshwater lake in Erdenekhairkhan, Zavkhan Province, Mongolia. Khar Lake occupies a dale in the Khangai Mountains to the East from the Great Lakes Depression. The lake is located in the Ulaagchinii Khar Nuur National Park, and is surrounded by sand dunes and mountains. It is 23km west to east and 5km north to south, and has a small lake, Baga Lake, to its northwest. The lakes are at an altitude of about 2,000m.
