Astronaut Sergey Ryazansky captured from ISS Niue, an island country in the South Pacific Ocean. Its capital city is Alofi.

Niue is 2,400km northeast of New Zealand, east of Tonga, south of Samoa, and west of the Cook Islands with only approx. 1,500 population and the capital of Alofi. Between 90% and 95% of Niuean people live in New Zealand,[9] along with about 70% of the speakers of the Niuean language. Niue is not a member of the United Nations (UN), but UN organisations have accepted its status as a freely-associated state as equivalent to independence for the purposes of international law. Besides small economy of agriculture and tourism, Niue obtains revenue from the registration of .nu domain names to fund low-cost or free Internet services for the people of the country.
