Astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi captured from ISS Rabat, the capital of Morocco.

Rabat is the country’s 7th-largest city with an urban population of approximately 580,000 and a metropolitan population of over 1.2 million. Rabat is located on the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the river Bou Regreg, opposite Salé, the city’s main commuter town. Rabat was founded in the 12th century by the Almohads. The city grew at first but went into an extended period of decline following the collapse of the Almohads. Morocco has a coast by the Atlantic Ocean that reaches past the Strait of Gibraltar into the Mediterranean Sea. The geography of Morocco spans from the Atlantic Ocean, to mountainous areas, to the Sahara desert. Most of the southeast portion of the country is in the Sahara Desert and as such is generally sparsely populated and unproductive economically.
The local scenery on the ground is as follows.
