On Apr. 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse was observed across a broad swath of the U.S. The rare cosmic phenomenon happens when the Sun, the Moon and Earth align, and the Moon completely covers the disc of the Sun. People watched from the southern Texas to the northeastern Maine. It was the first total solar eclipse since 2017 to be observed in the US.

The local scenery on the ground is as follows.
