The Tarra River is a watercourse in Colombia and is is located in Norte de Santander, 500 km north of the capital Bogotá. It drains into Lake Maracaibo via the Catatumbo River. The prevailing climate in the area is tropical rainforest. The average annual temperature in the region is 23C.
